AIDE-TP holds Awarding Ceremony for the First Batch of Graduates of Certificate Course on Acting

Last May 25, 2019, the AIDE-TP held its first Awarding Ceremony for the Completers of Certificate Course on Acting. Acting Course is part of four Certificate Courses on Culture and Arts which have been pursued by AIDE in partnership with Tanghalang Pilipino (TP). The Awarding Ceremony was held at Rustique Events Place in Arnaiz Ave., Makati City. AIDE’s President and Chairman of Board Antonio O. Cojuangco spearheaded the distribution of the Certificates. The event was also graced by Mr. Fernando “Nanding” Josef, Tanghalang Pilipino’s Artistic Director, Ms. Tess Alcuaz, AIDE’s Chief Finance Officer/Comptroller, Mr. Remus Villanueva, Teacher of Acting Course and Dr. Cecilia Junio-Sabio as invited Guest. Five consecutive weekends were allotted to deliver the course. The content of the module were uploaded to AIDE’s Learning Management System (LMS) so that the students can access them anytime during their free time and while outside the classroom. To validate what the students have learned from the module and to be more effective as an actor, face-to-face class sessions were held for the supplemental lecture, actual acting workshop, production
and rehearsals. There were a total of twelve (12) students who enrolled graduated in the first batch. They represent various sectors from public and private institutions whose passion is into acting. Most of the students were happy that they were given this opportunity to pursue the course.

Featured in this issue is an article written by Ms. Kath Nobleza, one the student graduates of Certificate Course in Acting. Ms. Nobleza expresses her appreciation about the program and we are including her write-up in this so that others would realize how the program can help them realized their dream of pursuing an Arts and Culture course.

“Nasagot nila o nabigay nila sakin yung bagay na gusto kong mangyari after the training. Hindi lang nila ibooboost yung wisdom, hindi lang nila ibooboost yung passion mo, kundi they will help you to pay it forward sa ibang tao… kung papano ito ipapasa sa ibang tao.” - Katherine Mae Nobleza

- Maricar “Kaye” Sangalang
